The mission of the Glocalization Organization of Asia Pacific (GoAP) is to:

Promote globalization of companies in Asia, Oceania, and the Asia-Pacific region by sharing localization best practices

Promote and advance the development and utilization of language technologies in Asia, Oceania, and the Asia-Pacific region

Facilitate APAC companies' entry into European and the North American and international markets

Promote and facilitate Pan Asian collaboration of companies engaged in globalization and localization (globalization marketers, language companies etc...)

Foster partnership and local support between European and North American companies and international companies doing business in APAC

Why GoAP?

Challenges that Glocalization Organization of Asia Pacific (GoAP) will solve and the gaps we will fill:

  • No organizations in the localization and language industry today explicitly focus on the needs of companies in Asia, Oceania, and the Asia-Pacific region going global.
  • No organizations in the language and localization industry today seek to facilitate and promote the development of Asian language technologies. Many language technologies currently come from Europe, and more specifically Eastern Europe. The organizers believe that in Asia, Oceania, and the Asia-Pacific region, there is a tremendous talent base and expertise to develop the next generation of language technology that can compete in the global market.
  • No organizations in the localization and language industry today provide the bridge between Western companies and APAC companies.
  • No organizations in the localization and language industry today promote collaboration amongst APAC companies.
